TOOLBOX MEETING
UP IN THE CLOUDS
STARTING THE DAY OFF RIGHT
YTB TAKE ON MT. BULLY
Committed to fostering holistic well-being and innovative thinking, the YTB Plumbing team recently embarked on a unique and invigorating venture. Our morning toolbox training meeting took on a breathtaking twist as we ventured to the summit of Mount Bully, overlooking the picturesque Gold Coast.
The day began early, with our dedicated team members hitting the trail at 6 a.m. We hiked a challenging 6-kilometer route, ascending an impressive 500 meters in elevation. Our goal was to convene at this extraordinary location for our monthly debrief, a special gathering that allows us to reflect on our collective journey.
During this gathering, we delved into various aspects of our professional lives. We celebrated our victories, confronted the challenges we faced, shared valuable lessons we had learned, and enjoyed some hearty laughter together. It was a time for us to discuss our plans for the future, offering insights and ideas to propel the company forward.
However, this event was not just about work; it was about fostering a sense of unity and well-being within the team. As we looked out over the stunning 360-degree views, we found inspiration in the beauty of nature itself. We exchanged encouraging words, recognising how far each member had come and acknowledging our collective achievements.
After our discussion, we made our way down to Burleigh headland, where we had a breakfast BBQ. Here, in a more relaxed setting, I had the opportunity to share a valuable lesson with the team: "If you can give a little, then you give a little." This motto emphasises the importance of collaboration and contributing to the team effort.
It was a powerful reminder of how we can make our training sessions more interactive and engaging, extending beyond the confines of a standard toolbox meeting on site or at our warehouse.
In summary, our journey up Mount Bully was not just a physical adventure but a testament to our commitment to mental and physical health, as well as our dedication to thinking outside the box. It was a memorable day that left us not only with a stronger sense of camaraderie but also with a renewed sense of purpose as we continue to excel in our plumbing endeavours.
Client Testimonial
"When working with large Tier 1 clients and builders it’s critical that we minimise downtime as much as possible and do everything we can to not interfere with their schedule or slow down their building timelines – which is why I need people around me that I can rely on. We’ve been working with the people from YTB Plumbing for around 2 years now for one primary reason – complete dependability. They are extremely organised, they get in and get out without any headaches, and they consistently do a great job out on site – it’s almost as if they’re an extension of our own operation."
