PROJECT DETAILS
One of our most recent projects involved the completion of civil connections for The Rochester Building, an extraordinary development poised to become an iconic landmark at Surfers Paradise. This exclusive collection of luxury apartments and sky homes will dominate the Broadbeach skyline, offering breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. The Rochester, standing tall at 39 stories tall will have residences ranging from 2 to 5 bedrooms. A great project to be a part of in our home town!
YTB Plumbing's scope of work for this project was:
Stormwater: Our work on the stormwater connection consisted of a live connection and constructing manholes that integrated with the city's existing infrastructure. This included the creation of three cast-in-situ manholes, excavation of 144 meters of open trenching, and the installation of a new 375mm RCP stormwater line - all within the road. Additionally, YTB handled all road reinstatement and line marking.
Sewer: For the sewer connection we executed a live 225mm connection into an existing sewer manhole, which was adjacent to a substantial 450mm mainline. Furthermore, we engineered the construction of a new 1050mm manhole and a 17-meter run of 225mm pipe - all located within the road. As with the stormwater work, we also restored the road and added appropriate line markings.
Water: The water connection consisted of a 180mm tunnel bore using directional drilling beneath the main road. This allowed us to create a precise pathway for the water connection while minimising disruptions. We also cut in and connected to the city's main water supply and installed a double-stacked water meter assembly.
In conclusion, our involvement in The Rochester Building was a great success and we’re proud to be part of such a significant project in our hometown.
Client Testimonial
"As a company that’s been established on the Gold Coast for 15 plus years, it’s always been hard to find a level of service that Pete from YTB gives with the civil connections. We’ve been using YTB for nearly 5 years now and couldn’t recommend the team enough. From Low-risk connections to intricate OPW sewer diversions on main road corridors, the team at YTB seem to get it done without any hassles or issues. YTB’s relationship with all third-party entities on all civil connections are very close and well respected which is defiantly a reflection of the high level of professionalism and attention to detail on every job they have completed for us whether it be big or small. As YTB is a family owned and operated company it’s not uncommon to call the office to be redirected to peter the owner who will be onsite with his team and still take the time to discuss future works. It’s this reason YTB is our only choice when it comes to civil connections."
