At YTB Plumbing, we’re always up for a challenge and our work at GEM Hotel was no exception.

This unique project saw us completing two separate water connections for two different clients on the same water main, located 500 meters apart on a TMR road.

Rather than tackling each connection separately, we decided to have some fun, deploying two crews simultaneously to complete both cut-ins on the same network shutdown.

With a bit of friendly competition between the teams, it was a cut-in showdown 500 meters apart!

While the teams had fun with this project, the serious side of the job was ensuring that all pipework was installed, concrete thrust blocks poured and cured, and all trenches were backfilled and compacted within a strict 5 hour network shutdown period.

Thanks to careful planning, expert coordination, and execution, our crews delivered both cut ins flawlessly.
